Fast acting Non-Oxidising Biocide combined with an effective Bio-Dispersant. Formulated to rapidly neutralise a broad spectrum of bacteria and algae, as often found in cooling and heating systems.

Function

Purachem FRB21 is suitable for use in a wide range of heating and cooling systems.

Purachem FRB21 can be used as a post-commission biocide to proactively prevent any bacteria or algal growth in the system.

Purachem FRB21 can be used as a pre-commission biocidal cleanser. It is suitable for use when implementing a chemical cleaning policy, such as BSRIA BG 29/2012.

Utilisation

Purachem FRB21 can be supplied in concentrate and in dilute form. The standard concentration requires 5 litres per 2000 litres of system volume. At this strength lightly contaminated systems can be neutralised in a single operation.

Post-Commissioning;

  1. Take a fluid sample before dosing to confirm the level of any existing biological activity.
  2. Add Purachem FRB21 at a ratio of 5 litres per 2000 litres of system volume. To ensure effective mixing with the existing system fluid, dose Purachem FRB21 using a proportional mixer or dosing pump.
  3. Take a fluid sample three days after dosing to confirm all biological activity has been neutralised.

Pre-Commissioning;

  3. Vent the system of any trapped air.
  4. Recirculate for a minimum of two hours and leave to ‘stand’ for a minimum of 3 days.
  5. Drain all fluids before refilling with the required concentration of inhibited heat transfer fluid and good quality water.
  6. Take a sample three days after commissioning to confirm all biological activity has been neutralised.
